2008年回顧

原本是想寫一下2008年的回顧的，但不幸今天病了，過幾天再回來寫。

Multiplexing ssh connnection

For record... we can configured OpenSSH to make shared connections (ie. 1 connection, many ssh shell)

Basically add 3 lines in /etc/ssh/ssh_config only:
Host *
ControlMaster auto
ControlPath ~/.ssh/master-%r@%h:%p

Of course, we can set it to use multiplexing on some domains/hosts only by not using "Host *".

家庭樂之澳門之旅

今天和媽媽妹妹到澳門遊覽，可謂一波三折，首先八時在家出發，先吃早餐，再到港澳碼頭。
買了十時半的票，但因為船期有一點延誤，加上碼頭員工的錯誤指引，呆等了一會才知道船已經開了，結果十一時半才上了另一班船（多謝劃位的小姐肯給位）。



十二時半到了澳門，因為假期，超級多人，又錯排了一條看來很少人，但其實很慢的一條隊，一時半才正式入境，原定去吃好東西，因為太遲只能吃茶餐廳。



午餐後到了漁人碼頭參觀，上次來的時候沒有看，原來風景也不錯的。



接著去了金沙娱樂場，我們一家人都很節儉，只玩了100元，不過媽媽玩 “老虎機” 超開心！後來



到了媽祖廟，逛了一會就回去了，太多人啦。
然後我們自己坐巴士到大三巴看，媽媽在照片看得多了，還是第一次真的來呢，逛了一會，我們就到了十月初五街買手信，手信買了200多元而已，媽媽終於可以 “去遊埠回來派手信” 啦。



最後到了上次跟同事吃的帆船萄國菜，點太多了，吃不完，不過我們都很滿意。
八時左右，回程時，到碼頭竟然買不到船票，最早也要明天早上！很害怕...
幸好找到 “黃牛票”，雖然貴了一半，但是能九時上船也不錯。
船程很快，一小時就到，但是風浪很大，拋得很利害，很多人嘔吐呢。
終於十一時回到家休息了。

今天晚上到嘉湖海逸酒店吃自助餐，每位 $398元，食物不錯，選擇又多，比上星期的天后 "L Hotel" 好得多呢。



自助餐之前到了吉之島逛，又忍不住購物...

先是二手的 Gears of War 第一集，因為第二集很好玩，買回第一集重溫，$70。



然後是樂壇新人 馮㬢妤 的 A little love CD，她的樣子不是很美麗/可愛，但是聲音動聽，雖然是第一隻碟但已經唱了很多出名的廣告/電影歌曲。

Updating BIOS without Floppy

My desktop doesn't have floppy drive (and I think most of the people don't have too).
But my desktop BIOS has update, how to update it without using floppy?
We can use GRUB to load the disk image into ram disk to run the BIOS update. Method is:

Bascially GRUB will assign a ram disk and fill with the image file, and then boot using that as if it is a floppy disk.

Christmas again

＜海天一色＞ BBQ

今天下午（原本是，後來等到傍晚）跟 MUD 友去了大欖的＜海天一色＞ 燒烤。



場地頗大，跟藍地的炭世界差不多，食物款式比較少一點，味道就要看自己的功力。
屯門去可以坐 51M 或 52X，九龍可坐 52X 在深水埗入，港島區可在銅鑼灣至中環坐 962。

Macau trip

Had a very simple trip to Macau, arrived Macau at 10am, originally I assume I have to work until 5-6pm for setting up the most complicated thing - Satellite server.
The machine is very very fast and the longest process, originally need 3-4 hours, finished in 2 hours, so lucky!
Finally I can leave at 4:30pm, far earlier than expected.

Postfix with multiple relay hosts

As I have my mailbox collected in home server, I also have setup SMTP service using postfix on the home server for outgoing email.
Netvigator limited the outgoing SMTP port connectivity, I can only connect to smtp.netvigator.com, but for company email, I have to use the company SMTP server in order to send to mailing list addresses.
After some trial and error, I failed to set multiple outgoing relay hosts, but finally found a method to do that, by "transpot_maps" parameters and define some addresses/domain vs smtp server hosts, so that postfix will connect to different hosts according to the receiver addresses.
