Actually we should go by peak tram, but too many people queuing, so changed to taxi... no feel...
Had a rich and expensive dinner in restaurant on the peak, and went to see the harbour view as well.
Back to MTR station by taxi too.
Next time need to go by peak tram!
The new monitor is ViewSonic VA703b, costs $1490, a bit expensive but as I buy in Tuen Mun, saved some traffic and afford, so it is still OK for me.
But once connected, the screen has some problem, looks like the display has shifted to right and down a bit, after some debugging, it is due to a cheap VGA cable which comes with the switch box I previously used.
Now everything is working. But I use my old HP pavilion f50 on Sun box while using the new monitor on my old machine, why? Because the new monitor doesn't have DVI input. :)
I have cut the value-added services at once.
Never accept any "Trial".
Today went El Cid for celebrating Cathy's birthday, food are nice but we thought that last year's was a little bit better...
We ate: garlic bread with tomato, spanish sausage, cabbage roll with cheese, large spawn penne and a special drink called Bacelona delight. But I could not feel the taste except lychee flavour in the drink.
For OpenWrt, the firewall seems having some funny issue with NOW TV modem, need reset one or two times to function correctly, now I am using it. But the latest version Kamikaze doesn't work with my router anymore, looks like the flashing is failed, nothing changed but just cannot boot after flashing to Kamikaze, have to rollback to White Russian to make it work.
For dd-wrt, there is no such problem, but the latest version, v24 beta, doesn't work with my wireless, only v23 SP3 does, strange but seems a common problem as shown in mailing list.
From the patch at John's test kernel page:
Added iwlwifi and mac80211 patches to RHEL5 kernel source, a new kernel has been built with support of intel wireless chipset. After a brief test, it works like old ipw3945d based driver, even support ipw4965.
Time: 9:30am to 4:30pm
Place: Tai Wai -> Ma On Shan, CUHK, Science Park, Tai Po, Tai Mei Tok, then back to Tai Wai
Distance: About 40 km
Very hot and lost so much energy.
The film is OK, actually I haven't see Die Hard 1 to 3, so cannot do any comparison, the film is talking about computer network and hacking, and of course, police won finally. Most interesting thing is both Justin Long and Bruce Willis are Mac fans, Justin Long is even Mac advertisement actor! Mr Mac is the hacker, haha.
The action part is very nice, many explosion, fighting and exciting scenes. Worth seeing.
At least we can wait for miracle.
Enjoy everyday when you can.
Mega Box
